Billy Mays is dead!

So apparently the next big celeb death is…Billy Mays? Well he wasn’t a pick in my death pool but like I said, these things are unexpected. And to think I was noticing that I needed some OxiClean this morning.

To be fair, when I first heard the news I thought it was Willie Mays, so if it had to be a Mays, well, I’m not too upset.

So Sammy Sosa was found to have taken steroids in 2003. Yes, Sammy Sosa.

Gee, thanks for the info. Sammy Sosa is a big fat cheater–you don’t say? What clued you in? The fact the McGwire admitted as much, and Sosa had no problem clobbering Maris’s single season home-run record right along with him? Was it the fact that his home run production skyrocketed from a previous career high of 40 to 66 in 1998? Or was it the cork in the bat that finally lead to the conclusion that maybe, just maybe, he looked for any advantage he could obtain?

And this is all so very, very helpful six years after the fact. SIX YEARS. Come on, MLB. Get your act together.
